GOURMET NIGHTS

Here at The Jugged Hare we cherish the bountry of the woods, moors and fields of the British Isles. As London’s leading game restaurant, we focus on using the finest seasonal British ingredients to highlight game, foraging and wild food.

Our gourmet nights are the most indulgent dining experiences we have to offer and one of the highlights of our culinary calendar, where we celebrate some of the rarest British game and other seasonal UK produce, all sourced sustainably from Britain’s best suppliers.

Each Gourmet Night will showcase the unique flavours of British game, where every ingredient is ethically and responsibly sourced.

London's Best Game Menus

We champion the best is seasonal game all year round, specialising in rare game varieties. From our eponymous dish of jugged hare (a stew made from wild rabbit and cooked in a stone pot) to our venison scotch egg, our chefs are constantly evolving our menus to suit the seasons. Our a la carte menu is available seven days a week for leisurely lunches and great British suppers.

BARBICAN'S BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH

Our Saturday free flowing brunch is for the wine lovers and foodies. Featuring a selection of unlimited handpicked wines, ales and champagnes served alongside a two-course brunch.

The refined way to bottomless brunch.

London's Best SUNDAY ROAST

Every Sunday we serve up London’s best roast. Cosy up in one of our red leather nooks – from where you can admire the eclectic taxidermy and whimsical illustrations of game that line the walls – and feast on one of the four delicious Sunday roasts: Longhorn beef slathered with horseradish cream; roast pork belly drizzled with apple sauce; lamb shoulder with a fresh mint sauce; and a tender baby chicken served with pigs in blankets, sage stuffing, bread sauce, carrots, parsnips, duck fat roast potatoes and a giant Yorkshire pudding.

It’s as satisfying as a Christmas dinner and, crucially, available all year round.

The Best Roasts in London

Our famous roasts were listed as one of the best roast in London. Here is what Hello Magazine had to say:

“Stepping into The Jugged Hare was rather like stumbling into a bustling country pub laden with locals and a warm atmosphere. The smell of herby roast potatoes and rich gravy is enough to tempt you inside as you walk underneath the Barbican passage to Chiswell Street.“

THEATRE DINING

We are a stone’s throw away from the iconic Barbican centre. Enjoy a delicious seasonal supper before setting off to the theatre.
